Need to know if insurance will cover another damage claim if totaled car for hail damage. I still pay full coverage insurance.

Yep, if you still have collision and comp, you're company must cover perils associated with those coverages...of course if another is at fault for an accident, their company would pay...only thing it really affects is...the value of your vehicle is 20=40% less based solely on it's salvaged (or prior salvaged) title. Also they could write an estimate of repair with substantial 'related prior damage', (RPD, means damage already exsists on the panel in question..)

our new Saturn was "what we think" totalled by hail last night. We are afraid to have it "fixed" because it only has 14500 miles on it and we want it in new condition. not repaired condition. In otherwords we want the car in the same condition as it was before it was pelted. Is it possible the insurance will pay this off so that we can get a car in similar conditon?

Not unless the damage reaches 75-80% of the vehicle's value, which I highly doubt. Very rare have I ever seen a vehicle totalled by hail, unless the hail was large in size and caused significant damage.

Hail rarely totals 'new' cars, (older vehicles with low ACV's all the time)...this is a saturn? Which one? most of the panels on most of the saturns are plastic, and should be undamaged by hail, I'd think. Unless you got softball sized hail. Something large enough to actually crack the panels.

Laughing Forgot about that. It's been awhile since I have seen one.
