I was at a dead stop making a left hand turn to take my son to work. some lady hit us in the rear end of or 08 kia she did not want to call the police. she worked for a car insurance company. my daughter was also in the car. we all got serious whiplash. I hired a lawyer he got us a settlement but all the medical bills were taken out of this settlement. leaving us with only 2,500 dollars after they sent my attorney 20,000 he said medical bills were taken out of settle is this fair? my neck still hurts.

You hired an attorney and agreed to pay him 33% off the top of the settlement. At some point your attorney told you what amount was that they were offering and you accepted. So your asking if the settlement was fair? You had legal counsel and were kept informed the entire time. If you were not done treating then I'd say you picked the wrong attorney. Most like he/she wanted to settle quickly and take their 33% then move into the next case.

Why one earth would you settle if your not back to normal? The horse is out of the barn, so it's too late to close the door on this one. Somebody got greedy here..either you or your attorney.
