I have seen this in job postings, but I do not know what it means.

Thanks so much, that was really helpful, NOT. Why did you even bother posting?

It means catastrophy work. Like storms and other disaters. I love CAT claims, living in your car or tent for a week or longer and making some nice money while doing it. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The most fun you could have being absolutely miserable.

Don't remind me... I'm on Storm Duty over Thanksgiving (I don't think management likes me). I need the dough but a storm that time of year means nasty snowy weather.

I have not prepared for winter yet. On Monday morning we had our first snowfall and I had to respond to a semi truck roll over south of KC. I was there from 10:30 am to 3:00. No gloves, no hat. Highway Patrol let me have a heavier coat. I packed everything in a dry bag for next time LOL!

Should've been a little further north Trench...took me 2 hours and twenty minutes to get 45 miles..what a mess, at about four inches it finally stopped. I counted, 32 cars off in the ditch/median, thru fences and in pastures on that 45 mile drive.. geeze...
