None probably...but it all depends..who dropped the lamp? who owned the lamp? and why did the lamp drop?

The owner of the house dropped the lamp, he owns the lamp and he was moving it to another place.
HO-3 is an all risk cover and has a falling object cover with the following exclusion:

This peril does not include loss to property contained in abuilding unless the roof or an outside wall of the building is first damage by a falling object. Damage to the falling object itself is not covered.
My question is, the accident with the lamp will be considered a falling object?

No, what the 'falling object' peril refers to is like say a tree falls on your house comes thru the roof and knocks the lamp down..THEN it's covered...in other words for the peril of "falling objects" to be covered, there HAS to be damage to the exterior of the dwelling.....sorry....too bad the neighbor kid didn't drop it, you could've got coverage under his mom and dad's HO policy (liability portion) Wink

HO-3 provides coverage against all types of damages except for disasters or "perils" listed in the policy. According to the terms of your policy it would not provide coverage for the falling object itself. So the accident with the lamp would not be covered under your policy.

You might want to correct this statement Veronica..

Yes Lori, my mistake.
I meant to say that the HO-3 policy offered a comprehensive coverage on home with a few perils excluded like earthquake or flood.
