You mean, like "Crimestoppers" rewards? For turning in someone who has committed fraud? Like the IRS pays for this stuff?

Never heard of anything like it in this biz...

I've seen a few dept of ins websites with fruad lines, also a couple with reward offers, but couldn't tell you the states, or the circumstances needed...

Our own health carrier (years ago, they no longer do this, nor is it the same carrier) paid their own insured's a little something (I think it was 50bucks) if they reviewed detailed billings (ie hospital stays etc)..and found errors in those statement, that resulted in a reduced bill. example: Hospital charged 100.00 for an aspirin the insured never received. My (then young 28yrs old) husband was in the hospital with a broken jaw. I went over the bill, they had charged many things he never got, including an enema...(I told them that hospital would still be talking about that fight had that occured  ) total amount of removed charges what like 1200.00 or so...They gave me 50-100.00...fraud? well, IMO, yes it was....

The fact of the matter is, if it's wrong, it's wrong...you only going to do the 'right' thing if you can make some jack doing it?
