My son also had Gap Insurance, but they have been very uncooperative. Because the truck was new the title had not yet been issued, so they is a debate between the back and American Family concerning some release that is needed. The bad thing is that no one at American is interested in calling and settling the claim. My son just continues to make payments to Ford...

What does this mean? How long has it been? Has he supplied them with all the info/data they have requested?Total vehicle thefts take some time to settle, if SIU gets involved (any red flags on the claim will bring them in...brand new vehicle is red flag #1), it will take even longer.
Where are they in the claims process?
