I am thinking of purchasing a 2008 ford edge.
I currently own a chevrolet impala 2007.
what can I expect as far as Insurance rates?
Will it be significantly higher?

Rates for auto insurance are based as much on one's driving record as the value of the car, if not more.
A 2008 vehicle vs a 2007 vehicle is probably going to be more expensive to insure, given the two choices provided. What is "significant" to you may be "insignificant" to others.
