Does Texas HealthSpring replace regular Medicare insurance?

Does Texas HealthSpring (THS) replace regular Medicare Insurance? Is THS a supplemental or do I have to drop my medicare to join THS?

Only during Open Enrollment coming up in late October, or between Jan 1 and May 15, 2013.
Texas Health Spring is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan. It is not the only one available, so do your due diligence and choose a plan that meets most or all of your needs, including the out-of-pocket expenses.
