Extreme cold weather caused water pipes to freeze.
Frozen water pipes bursted later and caused house to flood.
Water caused extensive damage.
Would my insurance cover the damage?
How should I present my claim/

Usually, as long as the home was properly heated. If the heat was left off, the loss is usually excluded. Resulting water damage is usually covered, not the broken pipe.
You call your insurance company or agent and report the loss.
