I was driving my boyfriend's car. Tapped a car at a red light. No police report. No injuries. No damage to my boyfriend's car. Other driver wiped away some pollen on his bumper to reveil a small quarter size ding on his bumper. I gave him my insurance info, my drivers lic info, my address, and asked him to get a quote and I would pay out of pocket. Next I recieved a call from my insurance. They were rejecting the claim and asked me to give my boyfriend's info to the other driver. I called the driver and told him that they rejected the claim and that I would pay out of pocket. He said he had to call me back. Next I got a call from his insurance agent asking for my boyfriend's insurance info. I called them back and said that I had told the other driver I was paying out of pocket. They called back and said the other driver wanted to deal with insurance companies and it was his choice. My boyfriend doesn't want me to give them his insurance info. There were no injuries, no damage to my boyfriend's car, and no police report. I have admitted fault to my insurance co. implied admitting fault to the claimt's insurance company. I am not trying to advoid my responsibilities but just want to pay out of pocket what do I do?

You may want to speak directly to the other person and see if you can convince them to allow you to pay for their loss. But ultimately its up to that person. Frankly, setting what happened already aside, if someone hit me and was not willing to give me the correct insurance information on the vehicle, I'd file a police report and inform that the person gave out incorrect/invalid insurance info. So you see, your boyfriend won't really be able to hide this information for long. If you can't persuade them to be paid out of pocket, then it has to be met by your bf's insurance in the end.
