Catastrophy Insurance Adjuster Jobs

I have sales experience and a 4 year degree, I am interested in a new field and have seen classes for Claims Adjusting. I live in the DFW area and there are classes all the time. My previous exprience is in food service sales and I was going to be making $65k. Can I expect to be able to get close to that the first year of doing this job?

Simple answer... no.

Long answer... it's not going to happen.

You can look up salary info at salary.com. I'd venture to say that you can look for pay around $35-$40k/year as a 1st year in-house adjuster.

You mention catastrophe adjusters. This makes me think you are looking at adjusters that go out into the field during catastrophes and handle claims. Those adjusters have years of experience.
