MY SON WAS IN ACCIDENT HIT TWO RUNNERS ON THE PASSANGER SIDE MIRROR AT NIGHT ON A DARK ROAD POLICE SAID WAS NOT FULLY HIS FAULT BECAUSE THE RUNNERS RUNNING ON WRONG SIDE OF ROAD AND HAD NO REFLECTORS ON AND HE WAS NOT ON INSURANCE PLAN NOW THE PEOPLE WANT TO SUE HIM AND HIS DAD WHAT COULD HAPPEN NOW?

First, it would be better to stay in one thread.

The claim needs to be reported to whatever carrier insures the vehicle being driven. If the driver has his own policy then the loss needs to be reported to them as well.

If the driver is not listed on the owners policy and has access to the vehicle on an ongoing bases than the claim may be denied. Depends.

What I don't understand is the time usually needed to have gone by before the other parties attorney works up to filing suit. The day after the accident occurred it should have been reported to the owners and/or drivers insurance companies. Was this done?

If the owners carrier denies the claim and someone files suit against the owner then I'd recommend finding an attorney who will bring the insurance company into the suit under a Bad Faith claim and work on a contingency basis.

THANK YOU THE ACCIDENT HAPPEND 2 WEEKS AGO AND NO ONE GOT HURT BAD JUST THE MIRROR HIT THE ARE OF THE RUNNER AND MY SON DID NOT GET A TICKET HE WAS THE ONE WHO CALLED 911 AND THE GUYS SHOOK HIS HAND AND SEEMED FINE UNTILL HIS DAD GOT THE LETTER LAST NIGHT
