Need your help & expertise on my issue

I stood on the divider for few moments and after seeing cars far away on the road I took a turn on the divider into the left lane. The accident happaned behind me, the left lane person in order to avoid hitting my car moved to right lane hitting the car in that lane. nothing happaned to my car..After stopping, the right lane came and started abusing me for few mins... he was so pissed.I didn't see him or his passenger as severely injured..no ambulance arrived...but got a letter from abusive guy's attorney that he is "injured"... which I'm v doubtful.
Also the cop gave me failure to yeild ticket which I'm planning to challenge.. is that a good move??? I've good collision & comprehensive but concerned abt residual bodlily injury which is 50K/100k.. is that too low..?

First, I didn't even hit this guy..
second, why did the left lane guy didn't apply brake and need to move to other lane instead of hitting my car..?

Let me step away from being at fault or not being at fault since insurance is involved. Instead I'll just tell you how it will probably be handled. The officer issuing you a citation certainly does not help your issue. It means, after speaking to everyone involved, this impartial 3rd party things you did something wrong. I think it's obvious that you pulled out in front of someone and started this chain reaction. So I don't see that you can just walk away from this one. Now, as you brought up, did that other person need to swerve to miss you. I don't know as I have not spoken to that person, I don't know how fast everyone was going, I don't know how far they were away when you pulled out. Perhaps someone could raise the argument that they over-reacted. But on the other hand, it happened with a split second and had that right lane been clear perhaps swerving would have avoided any collision. If they did not swerve and they hot you perhaps you'd be arguing, why did they just not swerve to avoid the accident.

My guess is that your insurance company will either accept 100% fault or around 90%. Probably 100%.

If someone is not at fault in an accident they are always hurt. Did you not know that? :) Everyone who stands to make a buck will agree.

I don't think 50/100 is too low. I doubt you have anything to worry about.
