Long story, short.
'01 Lincoln TC broken into and robbed for 4500 in covered a/v equipment.
Window pryed out until broke, channel in door bent, door panel handle broken, scratches and on dash.
Went with the insurance's shop suggestion. Estimate is 2,331.36.
I'm thinking at this point. "Holy shit thats expensive, they're going to total my car."
Drop off car. Give SR special "requests/instructions" ("I know its old, but i know these scratches", blah blah, and "look, the wood grain is flawless!.... be careful please."
4 Days estimated... im thinking... k.... I could do that work in a day, and I am not a mechanic... but hey, they must be doing it right.
6 Days later, pick up car. Massive thunderstorm, power goes out as I make deductable payment. Wait... Wait.... Finish paying. Go outside with SR rep in thunderstorm, watch him try to wipe water off the inside of the windshield. Weird, i think... keeps coming back. Drive one block to house.
7 Days later, start drive for work, turn ac on about 10 minutes in, its misting coolant on inside of windshield. I was getting pissed at this point. Work all day, Co-workers notify me of how bad the job was, and that my car looks like shit now. Go to turn heated seats on.... no heated seats button... wtf?
8 Days later.... Ohhh nooo, its raining again... and wait... my window won't close? Ohhh noooo.. Let me stand in this thunderstorm trying to duct-tape trashbags to my car.... What is that under my door? A shitload of scratches all over the jamb and inside of the door from some asshole rubbing his keys or tools on it while he puts a panel on? .....
9 Days later... car smells like mildew... gross. Everyone at work noticed. Now my car looks like shit and smells like it too. So do I.... I probably look like shit too from the runaround im getting on the phone with the shop and insurance company.
Lost count of days, and tired of typing. Its like... two months later.
Since then they have.... -
Put in a new, broken door panel.
Removed and Reinstalled my dash several times, scratching it several more.
Im assuming the same guy with the keys that scratched my door is the same guy that sat in my leather seat.... probably the same guy who backed my car into the wall in the garage, crushing my bumper and light, but who has nothing to do with my air shock reaching its "life expectancy" and shitting out the next day. rofl?
At least they finally lined the ports up right, so now my coolant is being filtered better before it reaches my lungs...

The only problem my attorney has is that the repair shop is claiming State Farm told them to hot glue the dash together, and that a state farm rep realligned my leaking trunk.

... and nobody is willing to give me an estimate on the repairs of the vehicle due to the dealership/bodyshop calling around and threatening other business,
