I was hit by another driver while I was sitting waiting for a light. She was 100% at fault. However, I was injured and have suffered damage to my neck. My insurance company was never involved. My question is should I get them involved because they do not want to pay for my permanent neck injuries.

Your insurance company would not do anything for you when it comes to your injury claim against the other driver. If your state has Medical Payments or Personal Injury Protection then your carrier may address some of your medical bills and loss wages but at most, they would pay these bills and perhaps (if the state allowed), collect only what they paid from the other carrier.

You need to address your injury claim with the other person's insurance company directly. I doubt they are unwilling to address even at least your medical expenses... if you had any. Perhaps you are claiming an injury but sought no medical treatment. If that were the case, how can you show that you had/have an injury?

Note: Your subject line states you have the same company. How could your company not know about the loss if it's her carrier as well?

If you had Personal Injury Protection coverage included in your auto insurance policy, then your company is liable to cover all your medical costs.

Please tell me what's wrong with this statement, Adamsarthur87. Or do you even know? Where are you licensed as an insurance agent?
