Will my insurance pay if wife damages the rear of spouse's car while parking in garage? Which policy would pay - home or auto? I have both policies with same insurer.

Your insurance will only cover it as a first party claim, meaning you must have auto insurance with collision coverage on the damaged vehicle and pay the deductible. It makes no difference how many policies you have or with however many insurance companies you are doing business with.

Homeowners insurance would NEVER cover such a loss.

I have no idea why you have separate policies on vehicles in the same household, unless one is a commercial auto policy. Insuring all vehicles under the same policy usually earns a significant premium discount that would not apply to separate policies.

Your auto insurance will cover such losses, not home.

Only if the damaged vehicle is covered for collision. As stated above. No collision coverage, no claim payable.
