I am currently with progressive and they will not let me add him(my son) to my policy because he lives with my sister to go to a better school I need to find an insurance company that will insure us both on the same policy. I hope you can give m e some answers and I want to thank you in advance.

Are you trying only to add your son as a driver, or does he have a car you are trying to insure, too?

Insure both of you on the same policy with regard to the vehicle?

The only way to insure multiple vehicles under the same policy is if they are intended to be garaged at the same location. If your son is "away at school" coverage will still apply.

Explain to Progressive that your son "lives" with you, not your sister, but is presently away at school and needs to be included on your policy. His temporary address while away at school happens to be your sister's residence.

If Progressive refuses to do this, then simply shop around for another insurer, such as GEICO, 21st Century, or any of the names you recognize. List your son as a resident in your household, but currently away at school. Should be no problem.

I agree to Maxx's reply. You can follow it and include your son under the same policy..
