Recently I came across the term at some place. They insisted that we should always procure short term car insurance and in support of their claim they also showed some points. I do not remember those now. Still, just wondering if they are right. What is this short term car insurance all about and what are the advantages over a regular one?

Wow?! Insurance by the minute or the hour? Get it only when you need it? Amazing.

Wish it were true, but it's not.

Insurance could be a good choice over long term one if you use the car for small period of time.If you are going to possess a car for a temporary time being then short term car insurance policy should be the best option for you. The tenure of the coverage works from one day to six month according to your requirements. You could be covered for physical damage, bodily injury, property damage, uninsured motorist, and medical payments with this insurance package. You need to pay the insurance premium either in advance or monthly which cost less than long term car insurance and many insurance companies are existing in the market that offer flat rate for coverage which is based on shorter period of time. These plans are designed for people who travel for extended periods of time, or use their vehicle for work or business trips.

This is complete BS!

Auto insurance in America is issued for 6-month or 12-month terms, not one day at a time. And even if it were available on a daily basis, the cost would be astronomical compared to a stated term policy of 6- or 12-month duration.
