What is the difference between bodily injury liability coverage and medical payments coverage?

BI only pays when the insured is legally liable. MP pays regardless of liability.

Bodily injury covers the expenses of the other person injured in an accident caused due to your fault whereas medical payment covers the treatment expenses of you and your fellow passengers regardless of who was at fault.
