We are always very curious to peep into the lives of the celebrities and we often hear some interesting stories about these celebs and insurance. Some insure their voices, some insure their smiles or some insures their legs. I have heard ‘Ugly Betty” famed star America Ferrara had insured her smile for $10 million. These celebrities are surely something.

Thanks and regards,
Juanita

You're quite right Juanita!
I've also heard about the famous Diego Maradona's insuring his magical feet.
I'm sure such things would be quite an icing upon this vast insurance cake.
Thanks for adding a bit o' sugar to our knowledge-heavy forums :)

Yeah! The celebrities always have enough tricks up their sleeves to remain at the headlines. Insurance is not excluded. Many of them have insured their body parts for millions of dollars. (I wish I could insure my falling hairs. But millions of dollars coverage require thousands of dollars as premium. )

Enjoy this spicy piece of information.

Hi Jeddy,

Famous people are famous for almost anything. Whatever they do become news. And I must say that they know how to do things in a news-worthy way. Even in case of taking out insurance coverage. The list is pretty big- Jennifer Lopez, Tina Turnner so on and so forth. But the sports stars are also not lagging far behind. Although they are not as outgoing as the other celebs at insuring their body parts but they do also insure themselves at high prices. The star British footballer David Beckham had taken out whopping $70 million insurance on his leg and feet.

I believe the insuring company that I have always heard referenced in these insured oddities (body parts etc), is Loyds of London is that sound right to you all?

You are right, Lori- Loyds of London insures most of the "body parts"- sounds rather macabre  Of Course, when they body parts get old or fat, they ar out of luck I would imagine!..I have some old, fat body parts, wonder if Loyds would be interested  Karen
