I HAD BREASTCANCER JULY 05. I WANTED TO APPLY FOR LIFE INSURANSE AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO WAIT 10 YEARS BEFORE I COULD DO IT IS THIS CORRECT.

It depends on how much life insurance your are trying to get for yourself. It also depends on how much you are willing to pay. There are some graded benefits policies with lower face values that have almost no underwritng at all. Of course the premiums are higher and there is a 2 year period whee they will only pay out what was put into the policy. But if you were going to wait 10 years anyway, thats not bad. These products are available through United Home Life. If you are interested in obtaining a graded benefits policy, let me know
