Now if they are over the age of 80, well that can be a problem, but still not impossible. A person should not be rated up on their house insurance because of their age. The AARP is a nonprofit organization which is specifically geared towards looking after the interests of anyone aged 50 and over in various areas of their life. One topic that they do cover on their website is financial wellbeing and that includes insurance. You may want to look at what they have to offer there by way of information. It''s broken down into a number of sections including an overview on insurance. The areas covered are : # Automobile Insurance # Homeowner's and Renter's Insurance # Life Insurance # Disability Insurance # Long-term Care Insurance # Health Insurance # Special Policies Each section lists useful information and mentions companies you could look into. Christmas hint: This would be a really good stocking stuffer for a senior you know, print off the information and give it to them, I am sure they would appreciate it and knowledge is power.
