Depends on how injured you are, but I'm not sure about tripping on your own property. If your foot is injured to the point where you can't walk right or drive a car, you might be able to claim workers insurance.
Home insurance is hardly my strong point, but there are several specialists that know this thing inside out. _________________ I have a new personal crusade. I ain't a legal expert, take what I say with a grain of salt.
I am not sure if you can sue your own home owners or not, why don't you call them up and ask them if you can file a claim, I am sure they will tell you if you are covered or not. I know others who don't live in your household should be covered but I have never seen a person who lives in the home file a claim, this is a good question.
I am sure someone with home owners knowledge will come along and help you out.
Good thing to remember that is almost 100% YOU CANNOT BE LIABLE TO YOURSELF! so OP no no and no again...sorry _________________ Have you been helped by a poster? Do you want to show your appreciation? YOU CAN !! Just simply click on the donate button and send them some coin!
I have never heard of anyone ever collecting on their own homeowners, I have heard of neighbors collecting or someone else who may be visiting the property. I don't know if this has always been the case or not as far as I know it has been. Some ways it is almost unfair, but in other ways it would surely stop a lot of abuse of false claims. See enough of these with the neighbor filing and splitting with the home owner, I had some screwed up neighbors at one point, funny thing is these insurance companies always paid out. Would not be worth the headache or the worry of being busted for fraud to me. LOL, but you have people who would do it.
Really sorry that this happen to you, hope you get to feeling better soon. take care.
