My truck was hit and the other insurance company is sending an adjuster, i own the truck, no lien holders, i just want the check. Do i tell the adjuster that i just want a check sent to me directly? Will i get a lower settlement if i do? I also live in arkansas if that makes any difference.

Plastic mind, i dont appreciate my parenting being put into question, nor the reference to being neglectful, you obviously dont have many if any children. I also said its a work truck and the kids ride in the car!

If you read enough threads here, you will see that sometimes comments are made without reading the entire thread. For a work truck, it makes no sense to fix it. Most people that have trucks for work are most likely going to dent them again anyway.

WOW!! Alittle bit of 'negative vibes' in this thread. If it was the family car that was damaged, I could 'see' other people's point of view (actually, when I posted in the Thread, I didn't 'catch' it was a work truck, either) of the safety of the kids. But....a work truck? .....I guess it would be the OP's decision whether to fix it right away.

It's ALWAYS the vehicle owners decision where to fix their vehicle or NOT fix it...OP, just tell the adjuster you want the draft issued to you, and you will make arrangements to repair it yourself, or not. There is no reason for them to not pay you directly since it's a third party claim. Only exception would be if the vehicle totaled, and the damage doesn't sound that bad at all...
Let's back off the OP's parenting...there's not a thing in this thread to make anyone think that she doesn't have her kids best interest at heart :roll: for pete's sake, that's just ridiculous!

I would think ANYONE, on this forum (yep..including me!!LOL) is asking about Insurance (Auto or Life, etc.) BECAUSE of their children, etc. Hope I made my point (somewhat?) clear..LOL
