I'm sure a lot of insurance companies have picked up on the idea of "wedding insurance", but I think Travelers was one of the first to introduce it.

Yeah, more and more companies are now into the business of offering wedding insurance. Some companies even offer the policy online. There are also wedding day and wedding cancellation insurance. which are the variant of wedding insurance. The wedding cancellation insurance would cover the expenses if you have to cancel /postpone the event due to the death or illness of a guest. Also, if the bride or the groom is in active military service the cancellation policy would provide coverage if they are call on duty.

If you live in the U. S., "The Travelers" were one of the pioneers of wedding insurance and seem to have a comprehensive wedding insurance program. (Click on "Personal Insurance", then "Other".)
