Hi, I am new here and still trying to navigate around! I have been a memebr of DDD Forum for about a year and a half, and also moderate there. I found this "sister" site, and decided I would like to become a member, and spoke with Mike about this.
I have some experience in insurance, my dad was in insurance all my life, learned quite a bit from him. I have also learned through life and experiences, I am older, on claims,medical,auto and homeowners. I hope to be of help here and look forward to getting to know all of you..KAren

Hi everyone...
I'm new here, I've just been appointed as a Moderator by lakemen (thanks lakemen!).
In the past, I was a licensed insurance agent, specializing in claims processing, in the state of VA. When I moved back to my home state of Michigan, I worked briefly in the insurance field here, but quickly realized that I didn't enjoy it as much as I had in Virginia, due to the major difference in insurance between the states (tort vs. no-fault). Personally, I feel no-fault insurance is the most unfair system of insurance in existence, and I'd love to see all states go to a tort system. Being unable to change that fact, I decided to get out of the insurance "game" here in Michigan and just go back to secretarial work.
I hope I can be of help here when it comes to claims/insurance questions.
Hello everyone, I am brand new today, I have some questions about home owners insurance and will fish around the forum to see if anyone has asked similar questions before I post a new one. I am hoping to get some answers here.
Hello everybody, I am August, I am a mother of three who works full time and have three kids, one is out on his own and doing very well, I have a daughter who will graduate this year and move on to college. I have a younger son who is my pal in everything.
I am a member of the credit and debt forum, I have been wanting to check this and the mortgage forum out for quite some time, the credit forum is down today, so I thought I would take the opportunity to come here today.
I enjoy writing on these forums, getting to know people and as I perused through this one, I found that there are some familiar names here as well. Glad to see that, not walking into something not knowing anyone.
Insurance is something that we all have in common in one way or another and we all have some experience good or bad or layman or professional that we can share. I am just a consumer of insurance and hope to learn as much as I can and participate in the forum intelligently, or I should say as intelligently as possible.
Just cruising through here and noticed that I need posted here. So, first I want to welcome veryoen who joined after me. I am suere you will find all the answers to your insurance needs here. These are a great bunch of people here.
I have 4 kids ,3 who live at home. Two boys and 2 girls. I work at home on the pc earning from different sources when I am not helping my hubby in his drywall business. I find it more intertaining to work on the pc.I live on a farm in Ky.
There are new members out there on the forum that have not made it here yet, I have seen a couple out there. I guess if they don't make it here, you just welcome them any where that you run into them, LOL.

Hi everyone,
I just joined mainly because my wife joined here a few weeks ago and really enjoys this site. While I am not an insurance agent I do hold a couple of real estate licenses and sold automobiles for about 20 years so have had dealings with many different aspects of insurance from the side of one who would help match a clients needs with the company or agent who could issue the policy.
I hope to learn a lot more about it all here and perhaps I will be able to help some from the angle of one who has had to deal with having to help get clients insured in order to make the sale. _________________ A simple smile, or one kind word can often times give a flicker of hope to someone who's lite has all but gone out.
