My friend, Incase your employees get injured on the job they would be covered with lost wages and medical benefits through the workers compensation insurance. But if at any point of time your employee files a suit against you for damages, then in that case workers compensation insurance might restrict your liability. Workers' compensation benefits are generally of four kinds, namely :
•Income benefits are benefits to reimburse that part of your wage which you may have lost during your illness or injury caused due to work.
•Medical benefits would suffice to cover for any medical treatment which you may need for any work-related injury or sickness.
•Burial benefits are meant to feed any of the deceased worker's burial expenses to someone who might have once paid for it.
•Death benefits replenish a share of income lost by the family members of an employee who gets killed while on job.

Hi buddies! This is with reference to the intense trauma that I've been going through for the past couple of months. My employees got paid even when they were off work. Is it possible that I get my money back ??

Hey there...rest assured that the date when you issued the payments and the types of your payments would decide about your getting reimbursed for them. Any reimbursement for the benefits paid by the employer would only be reimbursed under the following circumstances.
•Whenever you are against the carrier's denial of the liability for the injury
•The initial investigation carried out by the workers compensation insurance carrier stands incomplete.
Wages once paid can't be reimbursed for the employee's entire salary once the injury takes place. Once the injury has taken place the employer is subject to pay benefits for the first two weeks after the injury.

The carrier has to be absolutely sure that the full salary is being paid to the employee so that the carrier does not need to compensate in terms of wage benefits lost for the said time. Bye for now !
