In the last few days, I've posted to several threads.......however......alot of them are no longer there. When I make a Post, I expect them to remain, on the Thread, in which I posted them.

My posts aren't "irrelevant" I post to others, what I know, to help them. "Aimless?" ...no, I don't think so. People can't post what they KNOW is true?? What a DAMN shame. REGUARDLESS how some of he MODS run this forum ( not good), I will continue to post.

sdchargersfan,
I know that I am probably putting my two cents in when they are probably not wanted but . . .
Sometimes I have a real big problem with some of the posts made here.
At times, I feel there are hypothetical questions and situations presented here and when I spend my time researching a situation which doesn't even exist, well, I feel a little stupid. I do my best to not just speak "off the cuff", but give real answers.
At other times I feel this is nothing more than a chat room, with one member talking to another, but that's legal, I guess.
The big problem with all these posts is this -
Even though we should not be rendering professional advice in an agent to client type relationship, some people take what we say very seriously.
When we present information as a matter of fact, then we should be able to present the source of our information, if asked.
Your posts are relevant, for the most part, so just keep at it.

SD, I have had the same but there are times we do get a little off topic. I also add by asking questions because a certain situation (post) will make me think "well what if?". Just my curious mind. You do well posting as Maze said. Keep it up and see you around the forum.

My 2 cents....
:P I always consider a deleted post as a badge of honor. :)
Many people don't understand that there isn't any freedom of speech on an Internet message board.
NONE.
These are owned by private persons or corporations and they can allow or disallow any content at their sole discretion.
They can disable links or allow links within posts at their discretion. It is a privilege to be allowed to post not a right.
Message boards also aren't free. Somebody is paying the freight to operate this site and I find this site to be a great resource for clients to get insurance information without being in a sales interview with an agent.
Believe me, educated clients are much easier to deal with than clients who “think” the whole insurance industry is in financial disarray because of AIG and their misguided management decisions of insuring high risk debt.
SD' I personally love your posts because they come from the mind set of the average person who buys insurance. And I don't want you to take what I'm about to write personally, it's not meant that way nor is it any type of personal attack, but many of your posts contain typical misconceptions many people have about insurance and insurance agents.
That's not a bad thing, it gives us an opportunity to educate the insurance buying general public.

Maze I wish you didn't feel like that, insurance is after all a 'what if' business, were it not for the 'what if?' who would ever buy a policy, and I figure even the 'what if's" may benefit countless 'readers' that never post, but see their very situation, and the answers to the same..I know this happens A LOT because I get many pm's and qm's saying what a great site, and that they didn't have to post, their answer was right there in a thread discussion.SD' I personally love your posts because they come from the mind set of the average person who buys insurance.
Great point Gary and one of the reason's I'm very glad we have consumers, (not professionals) on this board regularly, we in the industry tend to talk in 'jargon' etc. and take for granted that 'everybody' knows this or that...when you've been in a field as long as some of us have, it's second nature, and we 'forget' that we didn't know either before we got into this field...keeps me on my toes, and reminds me to stop and explain things in consumer friendly language rather than industry nomanclature,And I don't want you to take what I'm about to write personally, it's not meant that way nor is it any type of personal attack, but many of your posts contain typical misconceptions many people have about insurance and insurance agents.
It's of course not just her's but anyone that sometimes doesn't know some things, but have heard something their whole lives, and took it as fact...(3 times med bills as an example to settle BI claims)...That's not a bad thing, it gives us an opportunity to educate the insurance buying general public.
I agree it's a great thing...and after all isn't this forum a 'community' to 'share' ideas, and to help consumers thru the mud and muck that they call insurance...???Posted: Fri Jan 16, 2009 04:33 am Post Subject: insurance
Well..........let me tell ya ALL something, I DEMAND the respect that is given to everyone that posts on this forum. I made a post about one of the MODS ( Juanita). APPARENTLY.........the post was deleted by Evan. On a thread, Juanita said...."since we haven't gotten any USEFUL information from SD's side." It's a DAMN shame when a MOD can 'put down' a forum member like that. SOME of the MODS ( can you guess which ones? ALREADY said their names..) take their MOD 'positions' for granted. GARY..................it IS a RIGHT to post on this forum. Just like Americans have a RIGHT to get what they need/want!! There IS a Freedom of Speech. And let me tell you who gave you this Freedom of Speech?.......the Military (may I remind ya'll I DO serve in the Army?).......THAT'S WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We' fight' to give 'our' people RIGHTS..........we 'fight' for even YOU!!!!!!!!!! I was even QUITE CLEAR, when I started posting here, that I was NOT an Insurance Expert/Agent. I don't take ANYONE'S posts 'personally'...trust me. I take them as a new 'challange', everyday. FIREYONE...........yes..we DO get 'off topic' at times. Just seems to me, when I AM posting to the topic,....if a MOD doesn't want to agree with it, the post is gone. I feel like I've helped a GREAT deal of people, on this forum. I've received several PM's, myself, from 'concerned citizens'. We have a RIGHT to agree or disagree.........don't forget that wonderful word.

SD' it's these type of statements that cause others to butt heads with you.
NOBODY has a legal right to post here. This message board is somebody's PRIVATE PROPERTY and the owner of this property can decide in his/her sole discretion the content of this board.
So while this board is accessible to the public and anyone could post here NOBODY has a "legally enforceable" RIGHT to post here.
Your posting privileges' here are determined by the OWNER of this property NOT the government.
There are no freedom of speech rights on an Internet Message Board.
