Easy..get ahold of an Independent Agent (look in the yellow pages) and when they answer the phone, ask for an agent who works with commercial insurance. Then tell the agent that you need event liability coverage for exactly what you described. Most of the larger IAs should be able to place the coverage.
We used to write event coverage for all sorts of things- hole-in-one tournaments, sporting events, concerts, weddings, and all sorts of stuff. BTW- get more liability coverage than the minimum they're requiring. I have seen some really ugly things happen with food and people at weddings. The bump up in coverage is usually pretty inexpensive, and could save your behind.

Along with calling up the agents you may also check with the state insurance department. It might have the name of the companies, their rates and agents name at its database for you to choose from. As mentioned by Insteacher as well you're required to carry liability coverage against-contamination of food, mishandling of the food by the chef and such.

In addition to the suggestions made by my fellow posters you can also check with your existing auto and home carrier. It may offer the coverage you're looking for. However, for the catering business one may need the same policy as the small business liability policy with necessary additions and omissions.
Ask your employer, it might have a coverage placed already to cover the employees against the liability issues. However, if you need to obtain the coverage you may also have to carry the workman's compensation document along with. Now, its time to call-up the agents to get the quotes.
