I was a passenger in a single car accident that broke my femur and had to have a rod and screw put in my leg. I was off work for 3 1/2 months and had to go through a month of therapy before returning to work. Medical bills approx. 30k, and lost wages of around $4500. I am almost ready to settle with the insurance and would like to know where to start? What kind of settlement am i looking at?

Pretty big one I'd say! We can't give you a number sorry, but there is just soooooo much information that would need to be reviewed...I would find out (if I could, and since I'm assuming you are friends with the vehicle owner you should be able to) their BI policy limits FIRST...find that out let us know and we'll see if we can advise you...based on what their limits are this could (unfortunately) be a moot question if the limits are low...Was this a BI or UM claim and what state did this accident occur?
