If I am driving a vehicle belonging to my employer provided for my regular use. In an at fault accident My fault personal use of this vehicle I am insured under the company auto policy and a listed driver w/10,000 PIP. I also have PIP on my personal auto policy with the named non owned endt attached. Can I also file a claim under my PIP for medical bills?

Yes you can file a claim on your personal policy as well. However you want to get everything covered by the employer because any claims can and are usually used against you for future renewal ratings. Don't you have some kind of health plan that kicks in?

Hey buddy, I've a confusion regarding your query.

First of all, what does pip cover for you?
PIP normally covers the medical expenses that you have incurred in the accident and whatever injuries suffered by your passengers. PIP benefits are available to the driver irrespective of the fact he is at-fault. If you want to know whether the PIP will cover your medical bills then the above poster is right.

However, if your are enquiring who will cover the expenses of the other driver , then its the BI liability coverage of your policy and not PIP. Do correct me if I have read you wrong. Tk cr

Hi Mary, sorry to hear about the accident. Depending upon your state guidelines you may be able to file the claim under your own policy as well. Some states allow stacking of policies, which implies that the policy holder can purchase multiple polices to add on to his policy limit. Obviously, it enables the policy holder to collect under multiple policies as well. If your state falls under the said category then you may be able collect the excess amount from you PIP coverage if your medical bills exceed the limit of your employer's policy.
