There are numerous benefits and services offered to a person who has applied for a Kidnap/Ransom and Extortion insurance. Under this form of insurance coverage is being is provided for abductions and other events as a part of financial indemnification and expert crisis management. A ranson payment, loss of income, interest on bank loans and medical care are instances that can be covered by a basic policy. Losses due to kidnap or ransom can be minimised by enacting a hostage situation for training the employees and for utilizing the crisis management teams by the companies. The individuals who are enlisted with this form of insurance are covered for individual or aggregate amounts, with deductibles. But this makes it mandatory for an individual to participate in about 10% of any loss.

The managers of these companies overlook these dangers and are often hell bent towards facing the severest of consequences. Such policies are highly recommended for international travellers in order to counter high risks in the form of abductions of professionals and executives, international terrorist attacks etc. Generally for wealthy travellers who visit high risk places of Columbia and Peru this policy could act as a life saver.
