hi buddy ,
Lemme ask you a simple question ! have you ever tried cutting off your legs for $1 million ?? I'm sure it won't get up to your worst nightmares. Perhaps you'd never bother to buy any insurance policy for your feet unless of course you're a celebrity. Its generally a tradition of celebrities insuring their TALENTS as well as their BODY PARTS !!
A couple of the most famous examples are said to have been set by Diego Maradona and Jennifer Lopez …while Jennifer's representatives argued that she'd never gone for any such damn thing !

My friend…as you might be aware that the employers are now required to carry workers compensation insurance in every state across the US but Texas. Therefore the coverage that you're gonna receive varies from state to state. Almost all of the state workers compensation boards calculate their payouts based on a percentage of your weekly salary multiplied by the number of weeks assigned to the lost body part.
(If you want me to sight an example, the loss of your arm at work in New York would enable you to qualify for 312 weeks of compensation worth two-thirds of your average weekly wage, capped at $400. )
regards..

hey there !
Its almost that easy as you might be looking for a simple disability insurance. In my opinion 'feet insurance' exhibits nothing but just another form of disabilty coverage.
If by any chance you're jobless, please don't worry about that. Why don't you apply for your social security earnings then ?

hi!
Thanx a ton for so much concern but to be more specific i want to know about the travel insurance. According to many travel insurance policies, they only cover trip cancellation or interruption for well-defined reasons and other situations like the policyholder's death or the death of a family member; strikes, natural disasters etc.I want to know is there any provision to get the coverage for any unforeseeable sickness or injury too?

hi VR ! Lets be sure of those thousands of people who find themselves in a difficult situation every year like what you've rightly mentioned. They often fail to communicate clearly, unsure of what is happening and without travel health insurance, they get hospitalized in a foreign land. Though often neglected, travel health insurance is one of the most important items to have when travelling abroad. Though you might be in the safest of environments, there is always the possibility of illness or injury creeping your way. Henceforth its advisable that you get the support of any private travel health insurance to pay for any costs which are not covered by your provincial plan.

Guys!
...it needs to be clarified first that insuring your feet has got nothing to do with Travelling insurance !
...insuring a certain part of the human body is done with a view to the possibilites of a person getting disabled. Its fairly true that traveling anywhere without a guard to the unforeseen future ailments might also turn out risky. Travel health packages are there to help pay any out-of-pocket expenses during such medical emergencies. It acts according to your specific plan and covers the cost of most medical bills and associated expenses if you meet any emergency accident or illness while travelling. So its better to contact the tour operator, local police or country consulate if the hazard still persists.

I was just looking around for a link or response for Insurance for individual body parts. You should not have to be a celebrity or and athlete to get coverage. I work in a field that requires my body parts to the utmost.
Thanks in advance from the ROBO

About the only place to find such coverage is through a Lloyd's of London Syndicate. For that, you'll need to find a surplus lines broker.
