NORVAX OR QUOTIT...

by Ohio Health Insurance » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:33 pm

Tough call. Clearly, these are the two best health insurance quote engines in the marketplace.

Some of Norvax's features:

Run multi-carrier quotes in 60 seconds

Point, click and email quotes or plan comparisons to your prospects - no packets to assemble, no postage necessary

Let prospects compare plans, rates and carriers side-by-side, 24-hours a day online, significantly speeding up their decision-making process

Choose the carriers you want to quote and the plans you want to display

Spend less time educating prospects and going over rates

Increase agent productivity by quoting and contacting more people per day

Eliminate the hassle and expense of direct mail by turning your website into an interactive lead-generating tool

But Quotit has some snazzy features too...

Generate Custom Group Insurance Proposals From Any Computer Via the Internet.

Run reports from all carriers in one easy to read proposal.

Print presentation quality reports in about a minute!

Run HMO & PPO Dual Option Quotes Quickly and Easily.

Select the insurance carriers and report styles.

Store census and quote data information. Re-run and modify census information any time...online.

OK...so which one is best for you. First of all...if you are not buying at least 200 leads per month, skip them both. If you just are interested in the quoting software only, go for Quotit. If you like the automated followup features, then Norvax is your best bet.

Of course, if your're just plain lazy...then sit back and get ready for the baseball season. Fantasy Baseball is just around the corner!

Or, if you want:
- more product lines including Life
- built-in underwriting intelligence including medical conditions, height/weight, occupations, etc.
- quoting for optional benefits
- more carriers
- integrated web sharing tool
- no monthly contract
- no extra fees for extra states

Try a REAL sales tool like Insurint.

Insurint is a great tool BUT the downside is that it's for agents only.
Consumers can't run quotes on the agent's website.
Also, adequate carrier availability varies by state.

Ohio, would you care to explain this one a bit further!

I work for CommissionBuilder.com, which is currently in MO, KS and IL only, but we are moving into other states as we speak. We are much less expensive than any of the other quoters mentioned above, but a lot of agents prefer how our quotes look. If you want more info, you can call me at 866-532-2630 and ask for Mitch.

Thanks!

"What other options besides Norvax and Quotit are there? I am looking for something more than just a cut-and-paste framed solution. What service should I use if I need something with an XML API that gives me direct access to quotes so I can format and work with it the way I want to?"

Sounds like you are quite familiar with technology?? This is one of the channels my company works in. We have developed a virtual broker assistant that can be emailed to a client and when the client clicks on the link, the assistant pops up and provides health quotes in all 50 states and has enrollment capabilities as well. I would love to get you more information if you would like it. Note: we are building out P/C as well.

hi, new to the site, thanks.

I use healthcare.gov to provide spreadsheet comparisons. It is free and always up to date on rates. If you only need quoting use the free site.

Norvax and quotit are for high volume brokers. Most of use do a few hundred applications a year. You need to do a few hundred applications a month to make these programs work.

Hello Everyone. I work for Quotit as an inside salesperson. I'd love to spend five-ten minutes with anyone who would like to see Quotit. We have a terrific system.

I won't say anything bad about Norvax or any of our competitors. I am a licensed agent who no longer actively sells insurance. And in all honesty there are situations where I would choose Quotit, situations where I'd choose Norvax, and situations where I wouldn't choose either. It depends on your business needs as to which systems might provide value to you. Like any system, there are strengths and weaknesses and it depends how the systems match up to your business needs.

But, I am very proud of our technology which is why I accepted the opportunity to come to work for Quotit and demo our system for others. And I feel in many cases our system can provide tremendous value to agents. Feel free to call for a no-pressure Webex demo anytime. :)
