Glad this is in the Pub...I need to vent.

tcope is one of the forum experts. You don't get to be an expert by being an idiot. His comments were not out of place nor were they incorrect. I remember seeing that post that's under discussion, I think. Our experts are experts because, now wait for it...they actually have expertise!

Now the vent. One of the things I appreciate about this place is that most posters only comment in a thread if they know what they're talking about. For those with knowledge, we want to share that knowledge with the rest of the world, and we want that information and advice to be accurate and succinct. So when those like tcope, lori, Spicuzza, InsInvestigator (where's he been?) Maze and Colbert, who know their stuff , contribute to the posts, it's done in a manner that educates and explains. They know when to stay away from areas they DON'T have expertise. This isn't a butt-kissing marathon here, I just need to make a point.

The point is that I appreciate it when posters stay away from areas they don't know, and don't try to "guess" at an answer. I've noticed that on many occasions a poster will respond simply to say "I don't know, but I'm sure someone will be along to help you out" and then earns $.25339 for that post.

Please...Don't go to where ya don't know, ok? If you would like to ask the rest of the community for help- pm that person and ask them to respond to the thread through a link you provide. It's not that tough, and it saves us from those "poser-posters" that suck money out of the community's pocket. :x We're trying to make this a professional, dependable Google-search machine, aren't we?

Amen to that Teach, but don't stop now, come back and finish!

I know that the member in question has been banned for good but this has raised a very important issue. As Evan has mentioned, lately I too have noticed that many accounts have been created in this community and most of these users aren’t contributing positively to this community. Some are also starting threads that simply don’t even make sense.

Why you are troubling me? What is my fault ?

One thing we should make clear to all, that if you have come to this site with the motive only to make quick $$ ….you have come to the wrong place. If your contribution isn’t making the site richer, you won’t benefit from it either.

Regards,
Juanita

Hi all,

We're trying to make this a professional, dependable Google-search machine, aren't we?

Yeah, it may have been started with a similar objective. But now, we'd like to make it even better. With so many knowledgable people around what else could we think! :)

Yes, we'd come across hurdles...may be in the form of people too..but we definitely need to overcome them in order to achieve our goals. I've come across so many web-based insurance forums of late, but not a single one seemed so dynamic or well-equipped like this one.

We all have become so attached to this platform that most of us would be eager to learn more from our experts in order to research and add more to make it even better.

Man, I missed this thread, think i was sick (again :x ) when it started..I personally have been deleting as many of these 'new' posts on old threads that say things like, ''yes i agree'' then reverb the prior post..it's ridiculous...i'm all for booting the ones that clearly think they will get rich in a hurry here! fortunately they are usually quickly noticed and banned...i've personally ask some regular posters and will now publicly, if you guys see any threads that have this type of 'crap' in them shoot me a pm or quick message with the thread link and i'll be happy to look at it and delete it if necessary and notify the lakemen by way of ban request (done it many many many times)....sorry and only speaking for myself but sometimes i get busy and miss some of them...anyway....i think we are all on the same page, and truely appreciate the 'core' group of this site that strive to keep it clean...

Your message board Life gives you a chance NOT a fair shake.

I just copied and pasted or is it Pasta?

What Lori wrote?

Because it struck a note!

I mean a chord, but not a bad cord.

I don't know.

But, I am certainly enjoying the journey.

This is the ONLY (1 of 2) message boards that actually ever really ever allowed me to be me.

They are just words. Their meaning is dependent on "how" they are read.

AND "how" they are spoken.
