I recently saw an ad promoting non smoker rates for smokers. The catch was they had to quit within 3 months or else pay smoker rates or the policy would be cancelled. Any info on which company would be appreciated.

I don't know that you can qualify for non-smoker rates if you smoke. However, some insurers offer more rate classifications based on the type of product you smoke, how much you smoke per day, and how often you smoke.
For instance, I have heard the Prudential usually offers some of the best rates for smokers of cigars, pipe and chew (not cigarettes). And, that you may be able to receive a non-tobacco life insurance rate for these types of smokers depending on frequency of smoking.

I don't really smoke. But I have many friends who was. Thanks for the information it's very helpful. By the way also check this, Prudential Life.
