How long have you been a member and what made you come here? Mine was out of curiosity, I belong to other forums so I thought I would check this one out too.

Just signed up.
Looking for good tips and advice.
Pretty pleased so far but have read a lot of threads about earing money with this site which is a little dissapointing.
Do these people not realise there are easier and quicker ways to make money (legal of course).

Hey David..welcome to our community forums!
Pretty pleased so far but have read a lot of threads about earing money with this site which is a little dissapointing.
I don't think it's disappointing at all..I haven't ever come across a single instance wherein a member got paid in vain. All our members are knowledgeable and helpful. It's simple - they don't participate to get paid, rather they get paid for participation and knowledge-sharing.

I'll agree with you on this statement David..
Most of the experienced long term posters are here NOT for the money, but to help and give back to those in need of advise/information. It's more a labor of love really. Now there are those that (briefly) think they can pop in and make a lot of money and pop back out, but that's a brief stay, trust me..

What I mean fatman is that it seems like a lot of users are contributing to get paid rather than getting paid for contributing if that makes sense.
I just meant that a lot of users seem a little obsessed with the whole payment thing and not really concerned about contributing anything more constructive to the forum.
I think its a great idea rewarding the users but I'm finding myself having to sift through some of the payment related posts to get to anything useful.
Anyway, I don't want to sound like a grump as I am very pleased with the forum and hope to keep using it.
