Hello,

Would anyone like to share what they look for when making a mailing list, and what costs/per/lead you guys are getting?

Hi there...what I've come across till date assures me that for each metric emailing lists do outperform direct mailing.

For instance, if the direct mailing cost (inclusive of postage, lists and production) is $150000, then the cost of an emailing program would come to around $35,000. So you see how the cost comes down to a quarter of the direct mailing program.

Again when you'd count upon the responses, you could rest assured that out of 2000 direct mailing responses only 2% would be productive. On the contrary, if an emailing campaign experiences 3,500 clicks, you could be sure of a 23% conversion.

Ultimately, when your cost/per/lead would be $4,000 for a direct mailing campaign, it would only charge $45.00 cost/per/lead for an emailing-lists campaign.

So, now it's pretty much your cake!

where do you buy email leads, our company gathers them through tactics, but can you snag them like a mailing list, and how much per 1,000?, and can you target demographics?

I can get list of 1000 people for 35 bucks by demographics. I also can mail 1000 direct mail for 335. I really do not know how to give any information here though seems a lot of stuff is edited.

and rightfully so(things are edited). This is more of an information collection thread, than a who's selling thread.

But that's why we have signatures, so we can free flow up top, and still represent down low.

I'm still interested in purchasing email lists. Anyone know of respectable websites that do this?

Knowledge based marketing is one company I have used that I have been really satisfied with. I use their subsidiary, westernresources to do business because they are more specifically geared towards insurance sales lists.
