Vilitra (which contains vardenafil, the same active ingredient as Levitra) can affect blood pressure. Vardenafil is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow, particularly to the penis. This can cause a drop in blood pressure, especially in people who: Already have low blood pressure Take blood pressure medications Use nitrates (very dangerous combination — see below) Lightheadedness Fainting (especially when standing up quickly) Blurred vision Rapid or irregular heartbeat Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin for chest pain) → Can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure. Alpha-blockers Vilitra unless under doctor supervision. Other ED medications — never combine with sildenafil, tadalafil, or other PDE5 inhibitors. Take Vilitra as prescribed. Avoid alcohol and grapefruit, which can worsen blood pressure drops. Stand up slowly from sitting or lying down. Talk to your doctor if you take medications for heart disease or hypertension.
