Who's paying for the work? You or an insurance company? If you are paying for the work, you may have the right to do the work as an owner-builder. But you always want to clear this with your lender and your insurance company. Your contracts with them may have something to say about this which would disallow you from acting as an owner-builder (rare in insurance, not so rare in mortgage contracts). Violate those provisions and you have committed a "breach of contract" which gives the other party certain legal rights against you. Just don't put yourself in that position.

What if this is very important for for them to do this work as soon as possible and although what I received mortgage information for contractors and I got the same answer which is here but sometimes you must have to do this then what should be the way?
