Looking for disability insurance for a fixed period to cover defined liabilities.I am working and do have the normal short and long term policies. However, I have recently taken on certain financial responsibilities necessitating the need for increased coverage. I need coverage for up to 6 years. I am 71 years old and in good health.

My disability runs out in the next four months. I have applied for SSDI and am waiting on a hearing date. I had to quit my job due to severe health issues. My job indicated that they would grant unemployment because I left in good standing and my health issues were beyond my control. But I left in July 2014, would I still be eligible for unemployment since it has been so long since I worked for this company. I anticipate my SSDI hearing in the next nine months.

I live in CA and have been on temp disability for 53 weeks next month. I will be able to return to work June 1, 2016, I am not sure if I will be laid off or not. Since Unemployment pays you from your highest paid quarter for the last 12 months (52 weeks) will I be eligible for benefits?

I have Aflac my plan is Cancer, I have been paying on it for 13yr , can I cash out the policy and get money back?

I'm currently receiving SDI and will be able to actively look for work as of the 1st of February. Could I pre apply for UI benefits.

Is there disability income coverage available from a group source such as an employer where the group policyholder might contribute to the premium or must I purchase individual disability income coverage and pay for it myself?
