Hello,
I am a new agent. I'd like to focus only on home coverage policies & later on mortgage ins.only.
Just curious about competition from lender's favorites, title companies influences over prospects...
Is it easy ride for a new agent or am i targeting too high ?
Please do let me know before I invest money, time & energy...
Thanks a lot.

Why getting referrals isn't really about you

When customers refer your product or service to their friends, what is this really about? They have put their credibility on the line, they’ve made an effort to help save their friends time and possibly money, and they are helping someone else make a better choice.

All this for you or for the small reward that you may send their way? Not really. Customers rarely make referrals to help a business. They make them because they want to bring value to their friends and be useful to their social connections.

IN Life/Health Exam with expunged theft conviction

I've been offered a job as an insurance agent in Indiana contingent upon obtaining a license. They conducted a background check prior to this and it cleared just fine. I was charged with theft which was lowered to an unauthorized use of property conviction. Later, I had that record expunged/sealed. Will this propose an issue when it comes to my state licensing application? As far as the court papers say, I'm legally allowed to state that I was never charged/convicted of the crime ever. Passing the company background check makes me feel comfortable, but I'm starting to become concerned.

Commission as a Referral Agent in CA
by Guest »

I work for a contractors association in CA and we are looking for a partnership to receive referral fees in order to produce revenue.

I ran into the issue when speaking with partners that we needed to be licensed brokers in order receive a referral fee.

Is there a way an existing licensed agent could register our business with the license number? Would they simply need to register the business and obtain the proper insurance for the business?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
