Hello, I'm an Independent Agent and I started my own Agency in early 2009. After I get some more experience under my belt I would like to hire agents. I would like to know how difficult is it hiring and managing agents and what is the best way to compensate them? For example(Would you give them a salary initially then commission or just give them 60% commission for the duration of their employment?)

I am new and want to help peolpe with Life insurance: I want to sell both regular and Mortgage Protection .

I have checked out NAA and ...(not for me) . I want to be a captive agent for a year or more so I can really learn this business. I am in Va. and need advice on what company I should seek to go aboard with .

On the Mortgage Protection side : What comapny is best for that type of Life Insurance ? What are the "ins and outs" of that type of Insurance (for agent/client).

I am struggling to come up with a chart that outlines the insurance distribution network in the US. Anyone who can help correct this chart would be of great assistance to me...

Does it matter greatly which company a beginner gets with, are the more reputable ones better? Thanks for any advise

I want you to give out at least 10 business cards a day to people you run into on the street or public. You are going to have to stop and pump gas sooner or later and you will be around others doing the same thing, or in line somewhere waiting on something. Just walk up to them and say something like “Here is my card, if you ever need my services then just give me a call” Just keep it simple.

Let’s say you buy 500 business cards from vistaprint for $2.99. If just 1 person out of 500 people called you and/or bought something from you, would it not be worth it to try this?
