I wrote an article off the top of my head on biggest mistakes insurance agents make, but I'd really love some additions. I'm sure there's lots more...post some and I'll add them to the blog!

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and appreciate any comments or feedback. I'm a health & life agent in Texas and have just recently launched my website: texashealthinsurancequotes.com. Currently I'm using Norvax to generate my quotes, but I just wanted to get some feedback as to some possible alternatives or other viable options. I just want to make sure that can offer my clients the most accurate quotes possible. One bug I have with the Norvax tool is that I can't get quotes for domestic partners or child only policies. Thanks again everyone.

Career agent & agency building agent - Who are they?

I have read the definition of a career agent:

The most common form of agency-building intermediary for the L/H industry. These agents operate on a commission basis and are organized under either a branch system or a general agency system. They are provided extensive support from their affiliated insurer/s.

What is the difference between a career agent and an agency building-agent?

can a career agent be both independent and exclusive (tied to 1 company)?

Customers's appreciation or testimonies are the best form of advertisement.

I wonder if you have received any letter of appreciation from your customers about the service you rendered.

What have you done that made your customers write to you?

Insurance is the cornerstone of any financial plan.

Without insurance your financial plan isn't sound, its built on quick sand.

You have to transfer your risk of loss to professional risk management firms.

Nobody likes buying insurance including insurance agents.

Insurance companies are multi-billion dollar conglomerates.

By the way, would you do business with a poor, struggling, just-getting-by insurance company?

Your insurance agent is your Primary Financial Planner.
