I injured a motorcycle rider back in july 2009 and was 100% at fault for fail to yield right of way and driving on expired license. The guy riding the motorcycle had serious injuries broken wrist, contusions, scars and back injuries, yesterday i got a letter saying i am being sued because my insurance company GIECO did not give up my 25000 dollar policy limit. What should i do next get my own attorney or what?

My brother passed away unexpectedly this past week (God rest his soul) and I am the beneficiary for for his policy. He recently updated his policy within the past 3 months and I have always been the beneficiary on this policy. He has two kids (17 & 15). I am worried that his ex-wife will be coming after me for control over what is left over on the policy after burial cost. His wishes were for me to take care of his children by setting up a trust fund for each without letting his ex-wife have any control. Does she have any rights to any of the funds? Can she dispute the beneficiary?

What is the average salary for a claims adjuster?

My name is Anna and I just joined the forum, I’m a new comer to all-risk insurance . I’m still trying to understand it all and our little company (just me and my son) is still navigating through all the different ways to approach the industry. It’s a tough economy! I was wondering – for those of you involved in the industry (especially veterans) business owner or not, what are some of services, tools, strategies, or latest resources you find helpful or profitable in doing your work or - business? I hit an unmarked pot hole in a construction zone. It was filled with water. The pot hole was approx. 3 feet wide and very deep. My car bottom out in the front and back.

I made a claim with the county and they denied it saying "they did not know about it prior to my hitting it". I then went on the hunt for evidence. I have 100's of pages of documentation from the county. I have pieced it all together.

Can you tell me why the person applying for a Church FEIN number is required to list their SS #. We are incorporated as a Domestic Non-Profit already and now need to get the FEIN. Thanks for your help

underpaid claims

Insurance is not sending the claims for reprocess as the time limit for any dispute is 180 days. When told the rep that this was the error of the insurance that has not paid as per the contract, they said no matter whose fault it is, for any claims dispute the time limit is 180 days and we have already passed the time limit, so they are not sending the claim for review.
So is there any possibility to get the additional payment from insurance.
