Will my insurance cover wind damage to roof?

We recently have had our roof damaged by wind. The independent adjuster told my husband to fix it himself. The Allstate adjuster said there were 31 shingles that needed to be replaced, and would not pay for such wind damage to roof at all. Why should we settle for a spotted roof, when my friend has State Farm and got a new roof on her house, garage and pool house. She said there were only 10-15 shingles damaged on her house and her garage and pool house was not damaged at all. The adjuster told her he wanted everything to match. Do I need to call the State Dept. of Insurance, get a public adjuster, send nasty letters to the home office or what. Because if I do not get a new roof i will get my satisfaction in another way by slamming Allstate on message boards, chat rooms and if i have to have a spotted roof i will get 31 blue shingles and put a huge sign in my front yard stating THIS HOME IS INSURED WITH ALLSTATE. Thanks for any response.

If your State has a matching shingle law and you can not find a matching fix for your roof _ you do not have to live with a multi color roof_ see if you have a matching roof law in your state the insurance co will not mention this when they tell you have a small repair that is under the claim value_

get a good roofing contractor to fight for you and don’t listen to insurance agents that will not work for your nest interest_ show the claim papers to your contractor and let him call them _ meet with them and get your roof repaired according to your policy and the Law_ pay your deductible in addition to the insurance check if you don’t you are committing fraud _ but the roof can get the claim to stick if he is a good storm repair co, and has good understanding of the insurance laws , in your area.

Roofers Lie. Plain and simple. I know that I have two shingles missing because of wind and there is not any hail damage. We have a roofer, who is also a neigbor, telling my wife that we difinitely have hail damage and he will deal with the insurance company. I am not paying a $1000 deductible to have an entire roof replace when I can repalce two broken shingles. ROOFERS LIE!!

I have been paying homeowners insurance with Allstate for 5 years now about $400.00 each year so about $2000.00 We had a really bad wind and hail storm in the beginning of summer, I called my local Allstate guy, they set me up with a claim and I am getting a new roof on my house and my studio/garage a total of over $5000 so far great experience :) I have not paid in near as much as they are putting in to my roof. I have no out of pocket on this one! Super excited :)

ALLSTATE IS BY FARE THE WORST COMPANY TO USE. IM A CONTRACTOR AND NEVER HAVE TROUBLE GETTING A CLAIM DONE UNTIL THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS ALLSTATE. CONTRACTORS DONT EVEN WANT TO DEAL WITH A CLAIM IF ALLSTATE IS THE INSURANCE COMPANY

No one wants to live in a neighborhood where the roofs resemble patch-work quilts. A patchy roof not only de-values one home it devalues the entire neighborhood. Insurance is provided for the good of everyone. Insurance is not just purchased to protect the policy owner. If one particluar company is not playing by the rules they should be singled out. Thank-you for bringing Allstate to our attention.

A man drove his truck into my split rail fence and aspen tree. The tree is cracked at the base and leaning over. Needs to be replaced to my eye. And my landscaping rocks all broken. My insurance said in the state of Colorado they do not need to match the fence. One side broke down one small part not damaged now I will have 2 different colors in my yard.the man not found. Is this true no match clause for the st.

Number of shingles, never matters in clamming insurance. The point is that, your ALLSTATE insurance company is not loyal to and it won't be beneficial to you.
