Hi Everyone,

I am a full time employee of the city of New York. Not in the insurance field. My job is pretty much dead end, though the benefits and flexibility are very good.

I've always wanted to start something different and being an insurance agent is one of my interests.

I have pretty bad credit. My question is, "How will bankruptcy affect your chances of being accepted to sell policies for the insurance companies"?

I have a bachelor's degree in Human Services. I really want to break away from working as a drone for the city.

What is an IMO and a FMO's?

I've been studying for my life and Health Insurance License in Nevada, but from what I gather, even if I pass the exam, the state may not issue me a license. Am I wrong?

I was convicted of an auto theft back in 2004 and a felony gun charge back in 2005, will this prevent me from obtaining my license?
