Self funded question

Hello, I am a new agent about to start working through an agency selling health/life I have some previous experience but nothing to brag about. My new manager says that cold calling on small businesses is a great way to generate business and claims that for every place you walk in, you can count on it being worth $10.00 as the law of averages kicks in. He says just consider that even "no's" are worth $10.00 over time. Does anyone agree or disagree with the $10.00 figure? I do not like cold calling but if that average works out, I can live with the discomfort of cold calling.

Can you get an agents license if you have a child endangerment misdemeanor charge against you?

Hello, Im in the process of starting my own independent insurance agency, but most of these insurers require experience to be appointed. Any suggestions on which insurers work and give direct appointments to new agencies(without being captive and excluding wholesalers). I'm also in Southern California.

My business partner and I formed an LLC insurance agency in 2008. We are both officers in the LLC. His is the appointed MGA with some companies and I am with others. My partner is planning on filing Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy on his personal taxes and debt. How will this affect our LLC? Will the creditors come after our LLC?

Is it possible to get an insurance license if you have a felony? A friend of mine has a felony for child abuse and neglect and she is worried that she won't be able to get a insurance license. Does anyone know if this will prevent her from obtaining that?
