After leaving a 15 year career in sales i want to move in a new direction and have decided to sell insurance. In the last month I have passed the state (Texas) exam and now hold my P&C as well as Life Accident & Health license. Now I dont know what to do with them!

Can a insurance agent sell polices to their relatives from their own agent code and earn commissions?

I know the number one thing in this business is knowing your stuff inside and out, what are some good ways besides training to learn about Insurance? I mean the study books only take you so far and are mostly definitions.
