Can anybody brief me about what are different careers one can choose in the field of insurance? What educational requirements are there and what are growth prospects?

I want to make a career change and I have decided on selling insurance. I am presently preparing for the Texa insurance exam. After I get my licence I plan on working for Aflac. To cover my expenses I need to make at least 35K gross, is this amount reachable during my first year. I have been in sales for about 7 years but I have never sold insurance. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!!

I'm sending in my agent application to the health and life insurance companies right now, and I was wondering if there was a list some where of all the companies that use individual agents.

Good day... I work for a major insurer. I have been given the task of researching various recruitment strategies.

I'm looking to find agents who are working or have worked with any of the following insurers. Specifically I'd like to know how you found out about them and how they courted you into applying.

Despite all the data I have on recruitment strategies and retention rates, I value the oppinions of agents in theis forum more, as it's coming straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

Has anyone ever been to a recruitment seminar for a major insurer?

I would like to hear your experiences. I work for a large insurance company and they are evaluating their agent recruitment strategy. This is in light of a high turnout on the welcoming event but very few agents signing up.
